Intercom 2024 Pioneer: AI Customer Service Summit
THE BRIEF
Intercom’s annual AI event, the Pioneer: AI Customer Service Summit, faced the challenge of unexpectedly high delegate sign-ups, requiring a significant increase in seating and outdoor breakout space. The Halo Group were brought in to address this issue.
Alongside the high number of delegates the venue presented logistical hurdles, including limited construction space, restricted material movement, and the need to seamlessly integrate with existing infrastructure.
Compounding these challenges further were tight build and de-rig schedules, demanding close collaboration among all suppliers.

THE SOLUTION
We delivered a comprehensive solution to address these challenges. A custom-designed 22m x 10m U-shaped mezzanine structure with tiered seating was installed, to maximise venue capacity and providing excellent stage views.
Additionally, a 10m x 8m canopy created a covered outdoor area, enabling delegates to view a live slide feed and effectively extending the event space, thereby addressing the increased attendance and offering an alternative viewing experience.
And finally, three bespoke timber partner booths were designed and constructed. These flat-pack booths, featuring screen mounts, shelving, and branding elements, provided valuable sponsorship opportunities and could be reused at future events.

THE IMPACT
The project was executed successfully, overcoming logistical challenges and meeting the client’s needs within the tight timeframe. Intercom praised Halo Group’s professionalism and efficiency, their ability to deliver a complex project in a challenging environment, and their contribution to the overall success of the conference through expanded capacity and enhanced facilities.
