Goodwood Racecourse - Parade Ring Hospitality
THE BRIEF
For the seventh consecutive year, we had the privilege of working with Goodwood Racecourse, a long-term partnership that continues to evolve. This year, we were tasked with upgrading the hospitality structure to enhance the customer experience and improve its sustainability. The brief was clear: design a space that offers a VIP ground-floor bar and a mezzanine level with prime views of the parade ring, all while ensuring the structure seamlessly integrates into the existing racecourse environment, appearing as a permanent fixture.
THE SOLUTION
We created a double-height structure with a 15m x 5m mezzanine, offering exceptional views of the parade ring from both levels. To ensure the structure was weatherproof and suitable for year-round use, we completed the design with a stunning white stretch tent canopy.
We chose only high-quality materials for both the aesthetics and functionality of the space. Premium features such as glass balustrades, handrails, and reusable composite decking enhanced the sophisticated feel of the hospitality area. All materials are fully reusable and will be de-rigged stored for the next season. Our signature black steel was subtly powder-coated white in key areas to harmonize with the existing fixtures and finishings, giving the entire structure a sleek, unified appearance.
The upgraded structure has now become a key feature of Goodwood Racecourse, standing proudly as part of the venue’s summer racing calendar. Its combination of premium design, sustainability, and integration with the racecourse environment has elevated the overall event experience.
THE IMPACT
This upgraded hospitality structure has not only provided an elevated experience for Goodwood’s VIP guests but also enhanced the racecourse’s overall offering, making it a standout feature of the venue. By blending luxury with sustainability, the design has become a permanent and prominent fixture, adding long-term value to the racecourse while maintaining its natural surroundings.
